She was predeceased by their children, Richard Stimets, Jr. She married Richard (Dick) Stimets in 1955 and they enjoyed 47 years together until his death in 2002. After graduation, she thoroughly enjoyed her profession as a second-grade teacher. She graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, MA in 1955 where she served as President of her class.
